Off-Grid and Hybrid Power Systems

TREKKA Energy supplies remote power systems suited to WA conditions. We provide diesel generators, battery systems and hybrid solar packages for use in mining and commercial projects. Systems can be supplied for sale or hire, delivering reduced operating costs and a cleaner energy source.

Diesel Generators

We provide reliable power for remote sites and temporary projects.

  • Diesel generators for load or back up
  • Fuel tanks and fuel management where required
  • Electrical connection, switching and commissioning

Generator Battery Support

Reduce diesel use and improve generator performance.

Generator battery support integrates a battery system with an existing diesel generator to reduce low load running and manage peak demand. It can be supplied as a stand alone upgrade and can be configured to allow future solar integration. Incorporates;

  • Containerised battery system and power electronics
  • Controls and protection integration with the generator

Hybrid Solar and Battery Systems

Lower diesel consumption for ongoing remote power demand.

Hybrid systems combine solar PV, battery storage and diesel generation. TREKKA supplies greenfield hybrid systems for new sites and retrofit upgrades for sites with existing diesel generation.

  • Greenfield hybrid supply including generator, solar, battery and controls
  • Solar and battery retrofit to existing diesel sites
  • Solar add on to reduce daytime diesel use where batteries are not required

FAQs

What energy services does TREKKA Energy provide?2026-01-27T17:35:46+11:00

TREKKA Energy designs, supplies, commissions and supports hybrid and microgrid power systems for remote, off-grid and grid-constrained sites.

What is a hybrid power system?2026-01-27T17:35:19+11:00

A hybrid system combines renewable generation such as solar PV with battery energy storage and conventional generation, typically diesel or hybrid generators, to maintain reliable power while reducing fuel use.

What is a microgrid?2026-01-27T17:34:47+11:00

A microgrid is a local power network that can operate independently from the main grid or alongside it. It uses controls and energy management to balance generation, storage and load.

Can TREKKA Energy work on remote and off-grid sites?2026-01-27T17:34:19+11:00

Yes. Systems are designed for remote access, harsh conditions and the operational realities of off-grid and regional sites.

Do you provide system modelling and feasibility studies?2026-01-27T17:33:42+11:00

Yes. TREKKA Energy completes site-specific modelling including load analysis, fuel forecasting and lifecycle cost assessment to support system sizing and delivery planning.

What equipment is typically included in a hybrid or microgrid solution?2026-01-27T17:33:16+11:00

Typical systems may include solar PV modules and mounting, hybrid or grid-forming inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and diesel or hybrid generators.

Can you integrate with existing generators and site infrastructure?2026-01-27T17:32:39+11:00

Yes. Where required, systems can be designed to integrate with existing infrastructure and legacy assets, including existing generation and distribution.

Do you manage commissioning and handover?2026-01-27T17:31:58+11:00

Yes. Commissioning is completed to confirm performance, safety and integration with the site network before handover.

Do you provide ongoing operations and maintenance?2026-01-27T17:31:31+11:00

Yes. Support can include system monitoring, performance optimisation, maintenance planning and operational reporting to maintain output and asset life.

Can systems be expanded or staged over time?2026-01-27T17:30:58+11:00

Yes. Where suitable, systems can be configured for staged delivery to match changing loads, site development and budget timing.

How do you approach reliability for critical operations?2026-01-27T17:30:25+11:00

Systems are designed around site load requirements and operating constraints, with control strategies that prioritise power availability and stable operation.

Do your designs meet Australian standards and site requirements?2026-01-27T17:29:57+11:00

Yes. Electrical and control system designs are developed to meet relevant Australian standards and site-specific compliance requirements.
